Wonderful.
Magnificent. I consider myself privileged to have met Arvo Pärt in 1994. I’ve met many composers over the years, but there was something distinct about him. I couldn’t quite describe it at the time, but it was the same quality that I later experienced among the monks at Mt. Angel Abbey: a quality of a soul in a right relationship with God. I will never forget that.
