A Personal Note
March 31, 2010
As much as I would have loved to have jumped into the political debates over the past few weeks, I have been occupied with far more important matters. Yesterday, my mother finally succumbed to the effects of cancer and went home to God. I was with her until the end. Despite the great sense of sadness and loss, I am comforted by the fact that God called her home during Holy Week, and that she can unite her sufferings to those of Christ and hopefully share in His resurrected life. Holy Week will never be the same for me. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

My prayers are with you and your family.
Peace to you all.

Dear MM:
I am so sorry. May Christ welcome your mother into heaven and embrace you all in this difficult time.
Yes, during Holy Week is always a special week for it to happen (all kinds of pious tradition associated with it and Bright Week). But more importantly, I am glad she is free from earthly suffering now — and indeed, more prayers for her as she continues the rest of her spiritual journey.
Eternal memory, O Lord. Eternal Memory (this video gives my sentiment, though not the right name):
I’m sorry to hear this. I’ll definitely keep her and your family in my intentions at the liturgies this week.
Grant her eternal rest, O Lord,
and may perpetual light shine upon her.
Sincere condolences to you and your family.
Requiescat in pace. Amen.
You are in my prayers this week as we die and rise with Christ. “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
May God Bless her and you.
MM,
It’s ok that you weren’t around for the political discussions. All the things you would have said? I was thinking them anyway.
God bless your mother and all who love her.

Holy Week will have true intimacy for you, from now on. The beautiful liturgies will be even more beautiful because you will have your Mother residing in your loving heart. After all, that is what the week is about….Love and its endless forms of expression.
My condolences.
No death of a loved one is easy to endure, but the death of a mother is particularly difficult, for all the reasons that mothers are special to us. I pray that the Holy Spirit will give you peace, strength, hope and comfort this week.
My condolences.
Prayers, MM. May she rest in peace.
Mornings Minion,
Will keep your mum and family in our prayers.
Thank your for the good work you do for the faith on the internet.
God Bless
