Did you read what his planned trilogy was about? I wish he could have lived long enough to do it, though it would have been a tough read. It was centered around Alexei being enticed by the world, fallen for all kinds of great sins, and eventually find his way back to the faith and become a monk. It would have started by his hooking up with Grushenka, if I remember the description correctly.

You are welcome — I was hoping people would watch it, both those who know the story, and those who do not. Dostoevsky is a favorite of mine– Brothers Karamazov, The Idiot, and The Dream of a Ridiculous Man are my favorite of his works, though I do like others (of course).

This was always one of my favorite works of Dostoevsky, and I thought this adaptation was well done. It could have been done a different way, but I think the narration technique is the best way to get the feel of the story itself.
