Some exciting news (for me at least)

January 20, 2010

As I have shared before, I am in the middle of job searching and, so far, the search has not been very kind to me. As you might expect, it was a relief to have some good, albeit unrelated, news:

My first article in the journal Educational Theory has been published online and is set to appear in print any time now.

The article is entitled “A Return to Love in William James and Jean-Luc Marion.” In it I argue against the current regime of rationality in educational issues surrounding schooling (and beyond) and advocate for a return to love in the art of teaching and pedagogy via a comparative reading of James and Marion.

I hope you will forgive me for this self-promoting outburst and will pray for the remainder of my job search.

Nemo est qui non amet,

Sam R.
