April 16, 2009

Yum Yum!
I saw this being advertised at Walgreens this morning (its on sale!). I don’t even know what it means, it has left me utterly confused. I think its funny and weird and crazy and really sad…

The official drink of the Catholic blogosphere? ;)
Good one Michael.
Does it really have to do with “America, capitalism, consumerism, the culture of death, and evil”?
OR – is it just a stupid drink?
OR – is it a matter of “interpretation”?
Deeply disturbing.
Of course you have to interpret what the drink means. Sometimes, interpretations go awry.
And, other times, they vary from serious (evil) to not serious (humor). Take your pick. I’m not sure what I think of it yet…
?
Exactly.
Venom energy drink is available in Black Mamba and Mojave Rattler. It is a hard core energy drink that’s the “bomb” (cool, awesome).
It is interesting to note that Urban Dictionary defines (def. #6) Venom in the following way:
Venom is the “street name for pure THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannibinol) that has been extracted from marijuana, sold in mL. The name venom comes from the fact that some snake venom is black and THC is black, it also has a bitter taste. Some know it as “hash oil”.”
It appears that Dr. Pepper Snapple Group has been roaming the streets of late in an attempt to emulate the highs of THC. Julie, a recent Venom addict, says: “VENOM BLACK MAMBA: When you want to stay razor sharp, with the energy to strike first and leave your mark, you need the vicious Venom of a Black Mamba.”
You are all wierd and need to find better things to do with your time.
How exactly does this scare anyone?
It’s an energy drink…Sometimes it’s ok to take things at face value. Everyone and their mom knows they aren’t buying THC.
