It is funny how much the Democrats rely on comedians to make their case. SNL is in the news practically every day. But when you make stuff up I guess you might as well get it from the professionals.
In case you are wondering about the making stuff up remark it has to do with the accusation that people at Palin rallies yelled “kill him”. The secret service, who investigate these types of things, have found not one person who ever heard any such remark. It comes from the Democratic university MSU (make stuff up).
Palin was governor of a state with an 80% approval rating. Can Mr. Cleese make any such claim? Or can he only make jokes?

So what if she’s memorized speeches and delivers them well? That’s exactly the same thing that Barack Obama has done for the last 20 months or whatever since he started running for president. He is also coached — obviously, coached better than the Republican ticket.

I just don’t understand how people like John Cleese can condemn Sarah Palin for doing the exact same thing that Barack Obama does. Mysogyny? Or do they just hate conservative pro-life politicians that much?

  3. MJO Says:

I voted for Barack Obama yesterday (absentee), and really believe he is ready to be President. But I still have a question. What makes a person “qualified” to be President, to lead the United States? If we strip away the incredible oratory skills of Sen. Obama, is he still qualified? Gov. Palin can excite crowds, but still she is considered generally to be unqualified (by me as well). Just some questions to ponder.

    Cleese nails it.

Word of advice. I’m not Democrat. Stop seeing the world in partisan eyes. Stop the blindness.

Plus, look at what the Alaskans are saying about Palin now. It’s not 80%. They realize they had been had with her; when looking for a way out of corruption, they got someone WORSE. That’s got them upset. And it doesn’t take much to realize how Palin makes GW Bush look like a gifted and intelligent politician: that’s got to be why GW Bush likes her!

And your evidence for this is . . . ?

That’s as far as I will play SB’s game on this one. There is more one could find; but he is playing a game plain and simple.

    Dan,
you said; “It is funny how much the Democrats rely on comedians to make their case. SNL is in the news practically every day.” They (and the GOP) have to because if you watched last night Alfred E. Smith dinner, neither of them are very funny at poking fun of themselves or each other.

    peace to all

[...] Palin Represents Palin may be a joke, but she is a joke with a serious undertone. On one sense, Palin’s choice represents the last [...]

S.B. is asking for evidence? I seem to recall many historical conversations on politics and philosophy (e.g., origins of capitalism) with him where I begged him for evidence and received none. Funny how the evidence demand can be so one-way sometimes.

It could be that Obama actually knows what he’s talking about and makes coherent statements. The same cannot be said with certainty with respect to Palin.

Are you remembering a dream or something? Provide a link to these “many” conversations.
