7th Anniversary of September 11th.

September 11, 2008

For those who continue to grieve.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy!
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished
children of Eve, to thee do we send
up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this valley, of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us; and
after this our exile show unto us the
blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus;
O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God

That we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ.

RCM – I’m not picking on you… just questioning folks’ assumptions. :)

The one seven years ago, presumably.

    Not the one in 1973?

    Is it 1980?

Is the coup in Chile not worth remembering? Whose memories count? Your neo-liberal heroes were involved in Sept. 11, 1973, and THAT’s worth remembering.

Gee, if we’re ignoring the words “7th Anniversary” in the post’s title, maybe she somehow meant September 11, 1922, the British mandate of Palestine. Or September 11, 1297, the Battle of Stirling Bridge. Or September 11, 1916, when the Quebec Bridge collapsed. After all, I’m sure Michael is commemorating those events as well.

Whether it’s worth remembering or not, the fact is that (unless we’ve time-traveled back to 1980) the “7th Anniversary of September 11th” can’t refer to the events of September 11, 1973.

Your neo-liberal heroes were involved in Sept. 11, 1973, and THAT’s worth remembering.

LOL. I assume you mean Friedman, not Kissinger (who is neither a neo-liberal nor a hero of mine). Pray tell, exactly how was Friedman “involved in Sept. 11, 1973″? Was he giving Pinochet orders behind the scenes? Did he pull the trigger on Allende? Enquiring minds want to know.
