I think the Trinity and its expression of love can be found in many ways in the Church, even if we humans mess it up and don’t live out the love we should. You are right, if we did — oh if we did — the Church would indeed be the sign it is meant to be. But that takes faith…

David: You are welcome. Don;t think of yourself as a dimwit (we all have areas of great knowledge, and other areas of less. And not all are called to know the same things in life). But do be happy to know that if people read and gain from my posts, it helps me, since I then know I am doing something right, and that helps me know I should continue.

I think T. Shaw is talking about Peter’s Pence, which is collected today to be given to the Holy See.

If all of us were only to strive better to live by the authority of Trinitarian/Christic love alone, what a more robust and attractive communio would our Chritian culture be.
