A few things that really stick out to me about the table. Obama would give a tax break to those making less than $19,000 of $567. Those who make less than $19,000 pay no taxes, in general. So, he's going to give everyone who makes less than $19,000 a check of $567. Why? Even those who make less than $38,000 pay very little in taxes, yet he wants to mail them a check for $892. Again, why? Of course, to pay for these checks, he's going to take an additional $700,000 from those who make over $3 million. This is simple socialism, redistribution of wealth. Those who make over $3 million are the ones who create jobs, which is a much fairer way to redistribute the wealth. Yet, Obama doesn't think so. Interesting.

MM,

Thanks for the link. Let me update the post to include your link, because I remember you had that graph, but I didn't know you had gotten it from the same place.

It is not a bad group. However of course , and this is not really their job, they do not point out the Obvious. That neither McCain or Obama tax plans have a chance in Hades of passing in their current forms.

McCain's would be much more scaled back and Obama would have to scale some of his plans back too.

Both Obama and McCain are being wildly optmistic on how much waste they can cut out of the budget .

THe monkey in the room of course is Social Security and the Social Security Trust fund that we all keep robbing. The public seemed not to care the last time Bush brought it up and we have to deal with this problem this next term.

Something neither person running will do because the whole issue scares Americans and they rather not think about it.
