Howdy,
I was a Dr. Who fan as a youngster and was recently thrilled to see that they were making new episodes -- but not thrilled at some of the content of the new episodes (the season 1 eps with Christopher Eccleston). I thought the male to male kissing and some of the other sexual references were too risque for my children, so I have put the DVD set away.

I'm not usually a prude about these sorts of things (I enjoy Monty Python, Black Adder, etc) but I just don't think these are concepts my children need to have reinforced in our home. It's too bad because I found the new episodes just as entertaining and imaginative as the old series ever was (3rd-5th doctor for me) plus the added bonus of actual high quality production.

I also enjoyed what I saw of Battlestar Galactica, but again, I wouldn't want the kids to watch it.

What do others think?

Clare
