What an ghastly tragedy. I lost a child once. The torment in my mind was unbearable, and still aches very much. How much more to know that you were coerced into letting it happen! Its not beyond me to see how such depths of despair one would experience. Lord, have mercy.

May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in Peace.

I’ll pray for her soul this morning. As for those who caused the conditions that led her to this point and those directly involved, I might just pray for their destruction. That said and now off my chest, Rocco at Whispers blogged on this and mentioned Project Rachel, an organization that works with post-abortion women.

I’ll go by her letter and not by the other people’s words and her letter indicates the suicide to be depressive and yet a sincere erroneous conscience with the intent to succor the needs of the twins and go to them…bizarre and mixed up….yes…..lots of room for salvation…also yes. Vatican II noted that .. “conscience frequently errs while not losing its dignity” Gaudium et Spes sect. 16…and I’m reminded of God’s words to Jonah… ” And shall I not save Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 people who do not know how to distinguish their right hand from the left….”

    Bill,

Thank goodness we have a God who is able to love all His children no matter how “bizarre and mixed up” we/they are.

    Enjoy Lent
    peace to all

Thanks, Donald. I should have put that in the post.

I pray for God’s will for those unborn children and those responsible for their death, that they may recieve the mercy they denied to those innocents.

    God Bless,

    Matt
