Great article. I understand the need for him to reach out to fiscal convervatives. The Problems is we are trying. I guess I am getting frustrated how Huckabee’s record in Arkansas is being distorted. However the fact is that a lot of conservatives will not get off the anti Huck Narrative or be objective. There have been exceptions. Such as Bryon York at the National AReview that at least tries to be fair.
I thought the blogger Evangelical outpost had a excellent recount of the 30 days he spent inside the Huckabee Campaign here at
“The Short, Fast Ride:
My 30-Day Crash Course In Presidential Politics”
http://www.evangelicaloutpost.com/archives/004158.html
I will not post the full excerpt but I wish people would read hhe part that is headed “The Mainstream Media Ain’t So Bad — “.
It really shows the frustration in his getting the “conservative” media, which so many conservative slisten too, to give our side. Now I know this is just a problem we shall have to deal with. But at some point someone anyone but point out that perhaps Huckabee is not getting that platform to do it.
I second your view that the fiscal cons aren’t that important. I’m not even sure who they are to be honest with you. I’m sure if the reside outside of D.C., New York, and California either, not that a Republican has done well in these places other than Rudy and Arnold types. I’m pretty sure it is not referring to Republican liberterians, but it could be. I don’t see Huckabee converting many of them.
If Huckabee wanted to reach out to fiscal conservatives, I suppose he could always call for the abolition of the IRS.
Oh, wait.
Is there a reason for the “Ron Paul still sucks” comment?
Because he does. I am not a big fan of anyone who cozies up to neonazis.
It is also a bit of an inside joke at RedState.
