    He was a great man who will be hugely missed in the pro-life community. Very few others have stood so strongly for the rights of the unborn.

    A little tacky to list his role as “House manager of the Clinton impeachment” in his list of achievements.

    I’d say its fairly important since impeachment of a President (whether you agreed it was the right thing or not) is not an everyday occurrence.

    But Rep. Hyde should indeed be most remembered for his tireless defense of the unborn, not for the impeachment.

    Henry Hyde was a tireless champion of the unborn no matter the political season. He will be missed. Here is a sample of the eloquence with which he fought his long uphill struggle on behalf of those who could not speak in their defense.
